Meet The Staff

Jody joined us in April 2019, from a nursery background where she held a great deal of responsibility. Jody holds a CACHE level 3 diploma in childcare and education. She is our SENCO and supports the staff to meet the needs of children with special educational needs. Jody shows extreme skill in making a very good batch of playdough! She has two young sons and a little girl! Jody is also our designated safeguard lead.

Hayley joined The Ark Family in April of 2021. She is funny, caring and level 3 qualified. Hayley often comes ready for a creative and messy day at Pre-School, encouraging children to use their imaginations and promoting independence skills. Hayley is MAKATON level 3 trained and incorporates this into the everyday life of our setting. She has 2 daughters and comes from a primary school background, and is our Transition Lead, supporting the children in their readiness for school, but before this, she did work within Pre-Schools. She is also our safeguarding deputy.

Leanne has been with us since November 2022 and it already feels like she’s always been part of the team. She is level 3 qualified in childcare and has come from an all outdoors, back to basics approach nursery. Leanne has an art degree and she always has lots of amazing art and craft activities to do with the children. She has 3 children and was previously a parent and was excited to come back to be part of the team. 

Miss Henderson joined us in March 2026, and holds a Qualified Teacher Status. She brings valuable experience from a range of Early Years settings. She will be working closely with our school leavers, supporting their development and preparing them for school readiness. Miss Henderson also has experience working within SEN schools, enhancing her ability to support children with diverse needs. Having children of her own, Miss Henderson brings a natural calmness and warmth when interacting with children.

Jess recently joined the Ark Team in September 2026 and will be working with us part-time. She has previous experience working in preschools and holds a Level 3 qualification. Jess is very calm, nurturing and loves spending time with the children. Jess also has a little boy.
